SAN RAMON, CA – September 1, 2006 – LGES, a national retained executive search firm headquartered in San Ramon, California, announced today the launch of a specialized practice dedicated to executive searches focused on Sales, Marketing and Business Development for the high-tech sector. As mentioned in Infoworld’s May 5 issue, “technology workers are the future. Innovation starts and ends with people, not mergers and acquisitions.” With the cost of faulty hiring estimated to be 50-150% of an executive’s annual salary, LGES saw an opportunity to expand its consultative approach to recruiting at the executive level - where it is most needed.
The new practice will be headed by Bob Currie, co-founder and partner at LGES. Joining Bob will be technology industry veterans in executive-level sales and marketing. The team will consist of Patrick Arnone, formerly of Oracle and Sybase; John Calamia, formerly of Sybase, Tivoli, Vignette and Cullinet; and Peter Engler, former VP of Marketing for Citibank, where he helped pioneer home computer banking and ATM marketing.
