Bob CurrieBob Currie is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of sales, marketing, and general management experience who brings deep expertise in the enterprise software and executive recruiting arenas. Most recently, Bob founded the executive search practice for Nucleus Partners, a Silicon-Valley based strategic consulting firm. Prior to that, Bob was a member of Spencer Stuart's Technology, Communications & Media Practice. Before joining Spencer Stuart, Bob, acting as interim chief executive officer, led the turnaround of a technology startup. Additionally, he served on the board of advisors for five technology companies, including Enginex Networks, Quiq, and Wirestone International.

Bob has an unparalleled career in developing technology businesses. Prior to his interim corporate turnaround effort, Bob spent three years at Brio Technology, a business intelligence and data management technology company headquartered in Palo Alto. As executive vice president and general manager of worldwide operations, he managed the fast-growing firm as it skyrocketed from $3 million to over $130 million in annual revenues, including its IPO in 1998 and acquisition of SQRIBE Technologies in 1999. Prior to Brio, Bob held numerous sales leadership positions with Sybase (during their fast-growth period from 1988 to 1996), including vice president and general manager of North America and vice president and general manager for their European operations. His sales management expertise contributed to the firm's meteoric growth ($4 million in annual revenues in 1988 to over $1 billion in 1996) as well as its IPO in 1991.

Previously, Bob launched his own firm in partnership with another sales colleague. They provided sales and sales management training on a consulting basis and, in a separate function, worked with Verifone and others on Electronic Card/SmartCard market introductions. Bob started his career at Itek Corporation, rising quickly to senior management positions at Control Data and Martin Marietta.

Active in his community and his church, Bob contributes to fundraising efforts for several charities. He also served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968 to 1971. Bob received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.

Lindsay LautzLindsay A. Lautz was a founding partner for eight years at Lautz, Grotte, Engler & Swimley, a leading senior level retained executive search firm located in San Francisco. Lindsay is a former partner of Wilkinson & Ives (1992 - 1997), a senior level retained executive search firm. In 1990, Lindsay began his search career as a principal at Korn/Ferry International. Over the past seventeen years, Lindsay has successfully completed a significant number of searches in all functional areas in such industries as consumer products/electronics/services, hardware, media and telecommunications, broadcast and interactive television, and entertainment for pre-IPO Internet ventures and large multinational corporations.

In 1981, Lindsay co-founded Positive Video, Ltd., Northern California's first postproduction only facility, which specialized in electronic editing of video tape, special effects, audio, and animation for video programs and TV commercials for over 600 corporations, TV stations, advertising agencies, universities, governments, and independent production companies throughout the world. Lindsay developed Positive Video into one of the most respected facilities in the United States. The firm's work was acknowledged with numerous Emmy Awards, Clios, and a Grammy. Positive Video was sold in 1987 to Groupe André Perry of Quebec, Canada, and Lindsay stayed on until 1989 as president and CEO.

Lindsay joined Fromm & Sichel, Inc., a subsidiary of Joseph E. Seagram & Sons of New York, in 1973. Fromm & Sichel, based in San Francisco, was the worldwide distributor of The Christian Brothers wines, brandy, and champagne. Initially, Lindsay was involved in the development of St. Regis Napa Vineyards and their currently leading non-alcoholic wine. In 1974, he was promoted to vice president, human resources, and in 1977 he was elected to the position of vice president and Treasurer, becoming one of the youngest officers in the history of the company.

Lindsay's early career was with Associated Freight Lines, an interstate common carrier, where he served in several capacities, ending as manager, human resources and administration for Associated's operations in Los Angeles.

Lindsay received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Lindsay holds Advisory Board seats with ContainerTrac, TracNologies, Home Option, Location Dynamix, and EyeTmedia.

Ray FortneyRay Fortney is an experienced executive search consultant with over 30 successful years in general management, business development, and executive leadership. He has worked for Fortune 100 global companies and small venture-backed startups. He was most recently a partner at David Powell, Inc. and Spencer Stuart.

Ray has successfully completed assignments for Vulcan Materials Company (NYSE: VMC), USEC (NYSE: USU), Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), VeriSign, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRSN), Visa International, Alzeta Corporation, Tymphany Corporation, and ConXtech; as well as the key portfolio companies of General Atlantic, General Catalyst Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and VantagePoint Venture Partners.

Before joining David Powell, Inc., Ray held several executive positions including president and CEO of VECTRA Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: VCTR), an international services and technology company serving the power industry. He was previously executive vice president of CellNet Data Systems, a provider of wireless control technology for electrical utility distribution systems. He was the president and CEO of Impell Corporation and a group president at Combustion Engineering, Inc. His professional background includes executive management experience in clean technology, software, consulting, engineering, construction, and manufacturing. He has served on public, private, international, and non-profit boards of directors. His background includes extensive international experience with major clients in Canada, England, France, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. Ray began his career as an officer in the US Navy Nuclear Submarine program and served on nuclear submarines in San Diego and Hawaii.

Ray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with distinction) from the US Naval Academy and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He also attended the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is a registered Professional Engineer.

Ray and his two teenage sons live in San Ramon, California. He is active in community affairs including education, charities, and public policy, and is a member of the United States Naval Academy Alumni Association's President Circle.

John CalamiaJohn Calamia joins LGES from Calamia and Associates, Inc., where he was president and founder. John is a senior executive search professional located in New York whose clients include firms such as Tibco, Cognos, Business Objects, Backweb, Visible Path, Fortify Software, and Mark Logic. His successful searches for premier venture firms include Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital, Carmel Ventures, BRM Capital, and Sigma Partners.

John’s 25 years of operational experience include senior executive positions at Cullinet Software, the #1 enterprise database vendor of the 80s; Sybase, the fastest growing relational database software company of the 90s; and Vignette, a software firm boasting one of the most successful IPO’s of 2000. In addition, John held the position of vice president of sales for Riversoft PLC, a public company traded on the London Stock Exchange.

John is largely credited with establishing market dominance over a seven-year period for Sybase in the Financial Services market as national director for sales in financial services. After exceeding his quarterly revenue goals for an impressive 20 consecutive quarters, he went on to hold a similar position at Tivoli, where he succeeded in generating over $150 million in revenue in less than two years.

While in executive search during the last five years, John has worked with many current and former CEO icons, specifically but not limited to the software industry, and has built an impressive list of both east and west coast high technology clients.

John has many extracurricular interests including tennis, fishing, running, classical music, travel, wine collecting, and genealogy. He participates actively in local and national charity work including Environmental Entrepreneurs and The Lupus Foundation.

Patrick ArnonePatrick Arnone is an accomplished executive with 35 years experience in all facets of the high technology industry. Before joining LGES, Patrick was the founder and principal of Arnone & Associates, Inc., a senior level executive retained search firm. Prior to the formation of his firm in 1997, Patrick enjoyed a successful 30-year career in the high technology industry. He is a senior executive with diverse management experience in companies ranging from startups and emerging growth organizations to large established
                                 technology companies. 

During Patrick’s career, he led and managed sales, marketing, consulting services, technical support, product development, finance, and operational divisions within different high technology companies, managing up to 375 employees. He had particular success in creating new business opportunities and turning around failing operations. As a vice president, Patrick established and led a highly successful Oracle Corporation Division, where, over a four-year period, the Division grew from 12 to 350 employees and from $2 million to $90 million in revenue. As the general manager and vice president, he developed the strategy and led the execution for the turnaround of the Sybase Public Sector Group, taking the business from $18 million to $85 million in three years. He also served in executive positions with PRC, QStar Technology, and Distribusoft and held various roles with IBM, Boeing Computer Services, and Storage Technology Corporation. He was involved in five startup firms as president, COO, executive vice president, and other functional roles. 

Patrick has a reputation as a highly motivated and energetic leader with exceptional strategic planning and organizational skills, business knowledge, and P&L expertise. During a one year sabbatical in 1993, he volunteered his time and services to the Morino Institute, a non-profit entity where he assisted the founder, Mario Morino, in the discovery and definition of the organization in order to understand how electronic communications could serve those in middle to low income families from an educational, community, and social services standpoint. The Institute also developed the Netpreneur Program that was nationally recognized as an incubator for Internet companies based in the Washington, D.C. region. 

He is a native of Washington, D.C. and lives with his wife Terry in Northern Virginia. Both Patrick and Terry are active in their church and involved in several ministries.
